Most gamers are probably not going to get one on the release day unless they didn't reserve a system back in May. Also some players have already purchased games to pick up at the Nov. 22 launch. Because of the high demand and tight supply most online retailers have already stopped taking orders.

The high demand of Microsoft's Xbox 360 Game Console is justified by the fact that gamers wanting a new console have no choice but to turn to Microsoft. The Xbox 360 is the first of three new home consoles to be released (Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Revolution are not scheduled for release until next year).

The limited supply is in part the result of Microsoft's decision to launch the system almost in the same time on all continents (in United States this month, in Europe on Dec. 2 and in Japan on Dec. 10) .

By launching Xbox 360 before its competitors Microsoft is the first to put itself in the forefront of gaming with this new console. Xbox Chief Financial Officer Bryan Lee said that he expects to sell at least 2.75 million consoles worldwide within the next three months.
